What if I said you could earn $20-an-hour by simply sitting inside of a self-driving vehicle, take notes, and occasionally take the wheel when the vehicle starts showing signs of faulty programming? Sounds like one hell of a job, right? Well it would appear that Google is doing just that for its local self-driving car project in the State of Arizona.
“We are looking for vehicle safety specialists to be a part of the Google self-driving car project; responsible for operating a vehicle for six to eight hours per day collecting data for our engineering team.”

You’ll work 5 days a week and in a small group of 2-10 people. You will also need to pass various training checkpoints, in and out of the vehicle, which will help determine your ability to do as required.
FUTURE IMPLICATIONS
These tests being conducted by Google will help shape a better future where self-driving vehicles take precedence over human-driven vehicles. Before they can be unleashed out into the cemented wild, they’ll need to be thoroughly analyzed and experimented on to ensure their efficiency and safety. As these vehicles become smarter, the safety of our roads will become abundantly clear. Today over 30,000 people die every year due to car accidents in the United States alone. It’s a figure which mustn’t continue any longer; it’s a figure which will be completely obliterated under the prospect of self-driving vehicles. This isn’t just a car revolution or a robotics revolution; it’s a longevity revolution!
