Which is why we’re excited about iRobot’s latest Roomba model – the 980! Oh, and you can control it anywhere in the world using your smartphone.
“The new Roomba 980 keeps going until the job is done, vacuuming an entire level of your home for up to two hours, recharging as needed. And with the iRobot HOME App, you can start and schedule Roomba 980 from anywhere.”
– iRobot
Its tracking sensors are top notch, with the added features of accommodating itself in real home conditions. When it came to its predecessors, if your home contained any thick rugs, the likelihood of your Roomba working was highly doubtful. With the Roomba 980, however, it’ll automatically recognize the rug and increase its vacuum power to provide a deeper and more thorough clean.
FUTURE IMPLICATIONS
Robotics company iRobot has been at the forefront of robot manufacturing, always ahead of the game with its latest innovations. With the new Roomba 980, iRobot is paving the way towards our future robot housekeepers. The integration of your smartphone with that of the Roomba cleaning system creates a new communication bridge between humans and robots.
Sometime in the near future, we won’t need our phones to play as our technological pigeon post, passing along messages to one another. Communication between humans and robots will be as effortless as humans speak to one another today. And once that occurs, maybe then we’ll say in delight that Rosie has finally arrived!
